From the desert to your home
Origin and Date Harvest
The date harvest usually takes place in the autumn months, between September and December depending on the region. The harvest is usually done by hand, as date palms grow very tall and the fruits are handled carefully to avoid damage. After the harvest, dates are either dried or, as in our case, immediately packaged and cooled when fresh.

The history of its creation
The origin of the name "DATTELBÄR" is closely linked to the beginnings of Dominik Gräf's date distribution business in Vienna. When enthusiasm for the Sukkary dates he imported grew among friends and acquaintances, he began to organize bulk orders. To cope with demand, he set up a mobile collection station - his trunk. Dominik's striking appearance at the time, with long hair and a full beard, inspired an enthusiastic customer to call him "DATTELBÄR". This nickname also reflected the warmth and naturalness with which he ran his business from the start, and was also the origin of today's brand.

Which date products does DATTELBÄR offer?
We offer products in three segments: Natural Dates , Date Chocolate & Treats , and Kitchen Products. In addition to our delicious organic dates, we offer a wide range of refined date products, such as cocoa dates, date chocolate, and date creams. For further processing, our customers can use our high-quality date sugar, date paste, and date syrup. Nut butters, a CBD tea made from our own produce, and a sprouted berry muesli complete the DATTELBÄR product range.

Dates are nutritional powerhouses! They are rich in essential vitamins and minerals such as potassium, magnesium, and iron. What is the best way to store my DATTELBÄR dates?
To preserve the freshness and quality of your dates, it is best to store them in the original packaging in the refrigerator. This way they will last for up to 18 months (depending on the product, please check the best-before date directly on the packaging) and retain their full flavor. Dates can also be frozen very well and will retain their condition even after thawing.
