Summer is the perfect time to enjoy light, refreshing and healthy snacks. Our date products offer a great way to incorporate natural sweetness and valuable nutrients into your summer recipes. Here are three delicious recipes that will not only give you a refreshing taste of summer, but are also free of added sugar and full of healthy ingredients!
iced tea with date syrup
Iced tea is the ultimate summer drink. Our date syrup gives it a natural sweetness and an extra nutritional boost.
Ingredients:
1 liter of water
2-3 tea bags (black tea, green tea or herbal tea of your choice)
3-4 tablespoons DATTELBÄR date syrup
Fresh mint leaves and lemon slices for garnish
Preparation:
1. Bring the water to a boil and let the tea bags steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on the desired strength.
2. Remove the tea bags and let the tea cool.
3. Pour the cooled tea into a carafe and stir in the date syrup.
4. Serve with ice cubes, mint leaves and lemon slices.
date-banana ice cream
This ice cream is not only delicious, but also a healthy alternative to traditional ice cream. It is easy to prepare and contains no added sugar.
Ingredients:
350g frozen bananas
60g DATTELBÄR date sugar
40g DATTELBÄR almond butter
Preparation:
1. Put the frozen bananas, date sugar and almond butter in a high-performance blender. Blend the ingredients until they form a creamy mixture. If you are using a Thermomix, blend everything at high speed for 20 seconds and then stir with the mixer attachment on level 3 until creamy.
2. If the mixture is too thick, you can add a tablespoon of water or plant-based milk until the desired consistency is reached.
3. Pour the ice cream into bowls or ice cream molds and enjoy immediately or let it harden in the freezer.
date granola bars
These granola bars are the perfect snack for on the go. They are full of energy and nutrients and have no added sugar.
Ingredients:
180g oat flakes
70g DATTELBÄR date paste
60g DATTELBÄR bear germ muesli
60 g coarsely chopped almonds
3 tbsp DATTELBÄR almond butter
1 teaspoon cinnamon
3 tablespoons melted coconut oil
Preparation:
1. Place the oats, date paste, bear germ muesli, chopped almonds and almond butter in a large bowl.
2. Melt the coconut oil in a small saucepan and add to the remaining ingredients.
3. Mix everything well until a sticky mass forms.
4. Press the mixture into a baking dish lined with baking paper and leave to set in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
5. Cut the solidified mixture into bars and enjoy.
