The origin of the name "DATTELBÄR" is closely linked to the beginnings of Dominik Gräf's date distribution business in Vienna. When enthusiasm for the Sukkary dates he imported grew among friends and acquaintances, he began to organize bulk orders. To cope with demand, he set up a mobile collection station - his trunk. Dominik's striking appearance at the time, with long hair and a full beard, inspired an enthusiastic customer to call him "DATTELBÄR". This nickname also reflected the warmth and naturalness with which he ran his business from the start, and was also the origin of today's brand.
