Date and banana "Tiramisu"

This tiramisu-inspired recipe doesn't have much in common with the original Italian tiramisu. A major difference is that we manage without loads of dairy products and rich mascarpone cream. You can happily enjoy this dessert for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The flavor is somewhat reminiscent of apple strudel and crumb cake.
You need:
- 3-4 bananas, cut into long slices
For the paste:
- 14 Sukkary dates, extra soft
- 1 banana
- 1-2 apples
- Cinnamon
- vanilla pods
- some water
Here's how:
- To make the paste, blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth. (Small pieces may remain.)
- Cut the bananas into 0.5cm wide oblong pieces and place 4 next to each other on a plate.
- Alternately stack the paste and banana slices on top of each other until it reaches the desired height.
- Sprinkle with a little cinnamon and garnish with lemon balm or mint.
- Done - and enjoy! =)
